Cords Offer Advanced Safety Features

NORTH BRANFORD, CT—Autac, Inc., a leading manufacturer of retractile cords, introduces its innovative, glow-in-the-dark retractile extension cords. Ideal for industrial applications, the cords are designed with a glow-in-the-dark material that makes working in dark areas of a manufacturing facility safer. After one hour of exposure to light, the cords will glow for eight hours.

The cords extend only as far as necessary to eliminate loose wire on the ground and the need to roll up long extension cords. Available in PVC and TPE, the cords come equipped with plugs that light to alert users when the wire is live, preventing electrical accidents. Other safety features include Nema 515 plugs, twist-lock plugs, molded plugs, and strain release.

The retractable cords are available in 14 gauge 3 conductor and 16 gauge 3 conductor, which extend on a 1:5 ratio. Customized lengths and ratios are also available. The cords meet UL/CSA (Canadian Standards Association) specifications.
